End-Of-Year Examination

Dear students,
With your end-of-year exam around the corner, I believe all of you are busy doing your revision and meeting your teachers to answer all queries. In other words, I believe you all are doing what you should be doing at this moment.

Class re-streaming will be done in the final week of school for the year. I will be putting up name lists in your class so that you will know which class you belong to. Class re-streaming will be done based on:

(i) GPP - Gred Purata Pelajar (based on your end-of-year examination)
(ii) Ethnicity and gender
(iii) Special case (disciplinary and behavioral problem)

Please bear in mind that for the third aspects, you will be assessed by all teachers who have been teaching you for the year, and not only me. I will be collecting reports (written and unwritten) from your teachers who will be providing me with the information on how you have been behaving in class so far. NOTE THAT CLASS RE-STREAMING WILL TAKE NO REGARD OF YOUR GPP, ETHNICITY AND GENDER WHEN SERIOUS AND REPETITIVE DISCIPLINARY AND BEHAVIORAL CASES ARE PRESENT.

Eid Holiday and Phonetics

Dear all,
I'd like to wish all KRK students and parents; Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin. If you are leaving Kulaijaya for the fest, remember to be careful and look after your own safety. Watch your diet too; too much rendang and lemang is not good for health.

Me, for one, will be off to Perak for the festival and will be back to school perhaps 2 days before the school re-opens. I'd like you to have a look at the phonetic symbols that I have uploaded here in the blog and see how you can write your own name in phonetics. We will learn basic phonetics after Eid holiday and hopefully you can use your dictionary more effectively after that. For a start, lets look at how I write 'CIKGU ZAKIAH' in phonetic below. Ever wondered how you can write your own name the same way?

A friendship poem...

Well, my birthday is over. When is my birthday? Last Friday, I'll say. Well, I receive this certain birthday card from my Form 3 friend, Syahirah. There's this poem about friendship that I'll love to share it with you readers. Gosh, it just cheers me up everytime I read it. I hope you like what I share with you.

Whether the day is good or bad,
Whether I'm feeling happy or sad,
If I have a need, you'll comprehend;
You'll be there to share and be a friend.

Other people may fill my day,
But never in such an important way;
We support each other 'round all life's bends...
It feels so good that we are friends!

My dad has been dead for a month. I missed him dearly. Somehow, I know I still had to get on in life. This week has been a very busy week for me because I'd to gush out my history scrapbook. Although I'm busy, I'll still say that it's a great week-for me. Don't worry, readers. I'll soon be back on my toes.

On behalf of all members in KRK family of the school, I'd like to contribute this special entry to Puan Nor Azah Binti Hamid and Puan Sharifah Binti Ariffin for their tremendous support and help in Program Ceramah Teknik Menjawab Soalan for 2RK1 and 2RK2 students recently. Their contribution hopefully will come in handy for the students during preparation for PMR next year and consequently mark a deserving place in science classes in upper form studies in SMK Kulai Besar.
